Music weaves in throughout the creative process, and new pieces are often named after the song that has inspired the artwork. Synergies are created and a story about the artwork emerges reflecting her thoughts on our natural environment.
The creative process takes time and patience. Each individual artwork has its own individual story, taking into account the creature’s habitat and personality.
The Artist
Working from her studio based at home in Greytown, artist Nikki McIvor creates images exclusively for Wild Grey Fox.

About
Wild Grey Fox
Wild Grey Fox was established by friends Nikki McIvor and Marina Adams: an eco-brand born out of original art and their shared sustainability values.
The Wild Grey Fox collection combines Nikki’s drawings of wildlife with gifts and homeware. This includes gift cards, limited and open edition prints, tea towels, grocery bags and more.
Central to the Wild Grey Fox ethos is that the products bring aesthetic pleasure and that they are made with the smallest environmental footprint possible.

This dedication to eco values comes from a love of all nature and natural habitats.
We print our products exclusively in New Zealand for the New Zealand market, and go to great lengths to source organic, Fair trade and sustainably-grown cotton wherever possible. This environmental
and social conscience also extends to a focus on
minimal packaging and plastic.
Our US greeting cards are printed and distributed
in the United States for the US market.
The Māori concept of Kaitiakitanga is central to the work of Wild Grey Fox, the belief that we are custodians of our environment, not masters.
