This year has been a mixed bag of emotions for Wild Grey Fox, with the closing of our flagship Greytown store, saying goodbye to staff and the transition to being completely online.
The great thing is the business is still going strong both with wholesale and retail. A big thanks to my retailers and all you Fox fans out there for your support!
Im really happy to share the top products for this year.
2021 has been a challenge trying to produce new artwork good enough to turn into a product - my philosophy has always been to try a new image on a greeting card to see how it resonates with the public and with retailers before investing it into other products.
First of all, one of my favourite products that Wild Grey Fox launched a few years ago are the cushions.
Cushions
The Home & Kitchenware collection represents my passion for nature, wether it be a native bird or an introduced animal. The fact that there are homes out there that have a Kakapo Cushion in their living room or can pack a snack in their Kereru Sandwich Wrap is just awesome! Knowing that someone is in their kitchen cooking some amazing and tasty recipes while wearing a Moon Hare apron still blows me away!
Kereru Puzzle
During 2021 the first two puzzle designs, the Tui and Kereru, were introduced to the WGF collection. What im really proud of is the fact that they are entirely made in New Zealand! Small confession though… I’m still working on the Tui puzzle….it’s not easily I can tell you!
Fantail Tea Towels
Last but not least, I’d also love to mention the Fantail Coloured Tea Towels which have always been one of our top three WGF products.
It represents so well the Wild Grey Fox’s motto of supporting local and national business as well as sustainability because of the 100% Organic Cotton material and water-based inks during printing, and lets face it, who doesn’t love a New Zealand icon such as it is the Fantail Bird!
