One of my favourite Australian birds is the cockatoo because they are so intelligent and inquisitive – and then there are the bright colours! I was inspired to draw a red-tailed cockatoo because their feathers reminded me of stars in the night sky. - Nikki
 
Doona is a Red-Tailed Cockatoo (Calyptorhynchus banksii) or Bank’s black cockatoo. While abundant in the northern part of Australia, they are more isolated in the southern parts.
